⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – An Unforgettable 12/10 Experience at Lodge 88 If you’re looking for the ultimate northern Ontario fishing experience mixed with comfort, great food, and top-tier service, look no further than Lodge Eighty Eight. I just returned from a 4-night bachelor party with 11 guys, and we’re still talking about how incredible the trip was. To say this place exceeded expectations would be an understatement. Lodge 88 doesn’t just meet the standard—it sets it. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. Terry and the entire team were nothing short of exceptional—welcoming, professional, and always one step ahead in ensuring everything ran smoothly. It’s clear they care about the experience their guests have, and they deliver in every way possible. Our group stayed in one of their clean, spacious, and well-maintained cabins. You could tell a lot of pride goes into their upkeep. The cabin was spotless every single day—even though we were a big group of guys, somehow, we’d come back from a morning out on the lake and find everything tidy and refreshed. It felt like a luxury hotel in the middle of the wild. Housekeeping was completely on point. Now let’s talk food—because wow. We were never hungry, and I don’t just mean that we were “fed.” I mean we were well-fed—every meal was hearty, delicious, and perfectly timed. Breakfast, lunch, dinner—every single day for four days, with zero skips. You could taste the quality, care, and thought in every dish. Whether we were fueling up for a long morning on the lake or winding down with dinner after a full day, the food always hit the spot. For a bachelor party of this size, that’s no easy task—but Lodge 88 nailed it. Fishing, of course, was the heart of our trip—and the experience did not disappoint. Being located in the heart of the Canadian Shield, Lodge Eighty Eight gives you access to some of the most pristine and productive fishing waters in the region. The marine equipment provided was top-of-the-line. Boats were well maintained, gassed up, and ready to roll every morning. The guides and staff offered great tips, and you could tell they knew the lake inside and out. Every guy in our group caught fish—and some of us brought in personal bests. The thrill of being out on the water, surrounded by unspoiled nature, with nothing but the sound of your rod and the wind in the trees—it’s hard to describe how good that feels unless you’ve experienced it. And even with the rugged outdoor adventure, Lodge 88 manages to blend in an eco-friendly luxury that’s rare for remote lodges. It’s modern comfort with wilderness soul. The lodge feels like a perfect mix of classic Canadian fishing camp and boutique hotel. Unexpected amenities like the quality beds, hot showers, efficient housekeeping, and friendly service reminded us that while we were deep in the wild, we were definitely not “roughing it.” Every guy in our group came away with lasting memories—from sunrise fishing runs to late-night laughs around the cabin, full bellies, and fish stories we’ll be telling for years. It was the perfect setting for a bachelor party, and I’d recommend it for any group getaway—whether it’s a family trip, a guys’ retreat, or just a solo adventure. Huge thanks again to Terry and the entire Lodge 88 team for the 12/10 experience. You made this trip unforgettable, and we’re already planning when we can return. Great spot with outstanding staff. Terry, Maureen, tammy, Anne, Andy, Willie and John(the guide) all done a great job. Food is excellent, places are very very clean. Fishing/ boats are all great. Great job guys!

We had a family trip to lodge 88 and I cannot speak more highly of the professionalism, cleanliness, and kindness of the facilities and staff. The fishing was incredible. My daughters did not know much about fishing beforehand but after some guiding and encouragement from our guide Isaac, the girls were motivated and it didn’t take long before they were catching some of the biggest fish I have ever seen. They are know hooked on fishing and want to go back next summer. The staff were friendly and the grounds and lodge were incredibly clean and well organized. The food was delicious and homemade. Thank you lodge 88 for making our family trip memorable and truly a trip of a life time. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful time at Lodge 88. Our room was comfortable, well-appointed and spotless, as were the main lodge and dining room. The delicious food was served with courtesy and attentiveness. Big Lund aluminum boats and Yamaha motors are in excellent condition, clean, fueled up and ready to go each morning. The fish cleaning house is very clean. Our fishing guide showed us several great spots and we caught lots of nice walleye, despite some difficult weather. We traveled very comfortably to the lodge by convenient Via Rail train service from White River. Thanks to Terry, Annie, Maureen, Tammy and John for a great stay!

We spent 3 nights at lodge 88 June 2024 with 8 guys. Service and staff is exceptional, food plan was great. Fishing was amazing. This place is designed and setup for a great fishing adventure. I highly recommend hiring John for the day to guide you. He prepared a fabulous shore lunch and took our group of 8 to all the top spots!
